Bathroom Remodel • La Center, WA
What began as a leaking shower caused by a sagging, cracked shower pan became an opportunity to transform this bathroom. We removed the existing shower, along with improperly constructed drywall behind the shower walls, the damaged subfloor, and the surrounding flooring to expose and repair the underlying structural issues.
After reinforcing the floor framing, we installed new water-resistant subfloor materials to provide a solid, long-lasting foundation. Our licensed plumbing subcontractor replaced the water supply lines, drain piping, and the aging water heater, which also required additional subfloor repairs.
The project was completed with new luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring that unified the repaired areas into a beautiful, cohesive design. The result is a brighter, more inviting bathroom built on a stronger foundation and designed to provide years of dependable service.
Bathroom Remodel • Vancouver, WA
This bathroom remodel began after a shower leak, which had been repaired by others before Action Craftworks was hired. Although the leak had been addressed, significant floor damage remained. Two layers of particleboard subfloor had swollen from moisture, causing the adhesive vinyl tile flooring to lift and fail.
We also discovered that a previous owner had installed the toilet too close to the wall. As a result, standard toilet tank lids would not fit properly, placing constant pressure on the tank. Over time, this likely contributed to the toilet’s wax ring seal failing and allowed water to damage the subfloor beneath the toilet.
To restore the bathroom, we removed all damaged materials, reinforced the floor framing with additional joist blocking, and installed a new plywood subfloor. The floor was finished with large-format luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring and waterproof PVC wall base moulding for improved durability.
Our licensed plumbing subcontractor rebuilt the toilet drain approximately two inches farther from the wall, allowing standard toilet tanks and lids to fit correctly. They also replaced the water shut-off valves and reconnected the toilet and sink plumbing after we installed the new flooring and reinstalled the existing vanity cabinet.
